The new head of the S&WB damn sure doesn’t want this thing in New Orleans on his first official day of work. He will blow out of here like a busload of figs headed back to his old job.

Gulfport should be safe. That means it's coming on shore at Shell Beach.

Cantore gets close but not too close.

Current track puts this thing right over me. Moved a little north of Picayune this summer and of course the new house has no shutters or standby generator.

unless this track changes dramatically, it's going to be partly cloudy with a nice breeze in baton rouge

The SEC called. They're not going to reschedule and LSU will forfeit.

Lucy Bustamante's husband is/was a SEAL. He was w/ SBT-22 at Stennis until he was transferred to Virginia.

Karen Swenson's husband was NOPD before Katrina and went to work for the Jefferson Parish DA's Office when they moved back from Boston. He played football for Tulane, but not a SEAL (at least as far as I know).

Jeff is a bitch. He was awesome for Harvey but he was legit retarded for Irma. Yelling about winds 5000 ft off the ground and acting like they're what he's experiencing. Yelling and screaming when it's like 45 mph winds.

I have an 10 minute drive to work downtown tomorrow. What kind of wind should I expect at minute 8 and should I cancel?

Alleva won't agree to that unless LSU also has to pay Florida reparations.

I think NHC is going to have to move their cone farther to the west next advisory. NOLA going to get the freak out just in time for the 10pm news

They aren't going to move the cone because of a westward jog or more westward movement on radar. They will need models to come in showing a more westward landfall. Only then and not many models will be in before 10 so I doubt much changes until tomorrow morning, IF it does.

When did they start allowing them to move the cone? When I was a kid the cone was the cone. The last few hurricanes they’ve just moved it when they please.

The current projected track isn’t too far east of Lake Ponchartrain. A slight westward adjustment at 10pm could put it right there
