will say Isaac is a tenacious son of a bitch and I hate storms like that.

He has been fighting hard to stay together.

From what I understand the longer Florence hangs around the more shear issac will see. If Florence moves out quickly Isaac has a better chance of staying together

It has been a very interesting flight of the NOAA Hurricane Hunter
aircraft this afternoon.

The reality of the
situation is that the long-term future of Isaac is cloudy, and the
best advice is just to follow NHC advisories every 6 hours to see
if we gain any confidence.

should also be considered low confidence since it depends on the

Isaac and Flo have broken and demoralized our mets. These are some of the smartest people in the business.

Note that the
plane was unable to sample the southwestern quadrant well because of
strong convection and intense lightning, so the flight-level winds
showing no circulation were unrepresentative.

How does this work?

Good move getting out. some dry air is due to get in on the west side of this thing. Did some of your neighbors stay?

I'm in the Guard and my battalion is here in DC for a year long mission. Tried to get my wife (and son) to come up here for the storm but she can't leave because of her job. As far as I know, most of the people in my neighborhood is staying. We are not in any type of flood zone but do have several trees in the neighborhood.

Is that Lake City Fl? I ask because it is close to Gainesville and UF is letting all hurricane refugees in free for this weekend's game.

They are playing Colorado State.

Unfortunately it's right on schedule according to the predictions. In fact we're getting rain here in Cola before we were supposed to.
