What’s causing this? Has wind shear picked up a substantial amount? Looks like she is getting sheared pretty bad to me...unless this is just another ewrc

I posted some dropsondes this afternoon that showed windshear blowing southern winds over the top of the rotation in Florence's SW quadrant. Levi on tropical tidbits pointed out in his video that those winds were considerably drier than the mid/low level winds, and upper atmosphere dry air can infiltrate the rotation of a storm easier than mid/low level dry air.

In Norfolk, there's been a mandatory evacuation for Zone A since yesterday morning. Zone A is mainly all of the waterfront areas and other sea-level parts of the city(which is a quite a bit). And of course both my place and my work are located in Zone A.

We're expecting a few feet of flooding between the rain and possible tidal flooding from the north end of the storm. Also upwards of 60 mph winds.

We'll get basically what will equate to tropical storm conditions. That's pretty mild weather considering everything but the issue is Norfolk/Virginia beach is all at sea-level and doesn't drain for shite. The Navy has already moved almost all of their ships out to sea.
