”Peek” out??

Or, peak out as in “max out”?

A glaring grammatical oversight.

Peek is what I meant.

Those are totals I can't even fathom. 5 feet of rain in one day, 8 feet over two days, nearly 13 feet over 3 days and almost 16 feet over 4 days. I mean, how in the hell?

You should look up the record rainfall total for 1 minute...now that is mind numbing

GFS running now. It's essentially the exact same through the first 90 hours.

What's crazy to think about is that even this disturbance just now brewing in the West Caribbean could develop in to a strong hurricane and hit Louisiana. These things don't need to track a long way before it hits a La. baw with 100 mph winds.

frick this shite!

Do the models still show a stall over the coast? The tracks seem to show this just coming ashore with just a little slowdown.

Have some business partners in Emerald Isle. Hoping the best for that area at this point, but it doesn’t look good...

did Smethport, Penn. turn into a lake on July 18, 1942?

WTF happened that day?

ETA: I also imagine Hurricane Harvey & Hurricane Lane may have broken some of those records

Yeah, the 00z GFS actually has a much more inland stall than previous runs. It's closer to the Euro solution now.
