Think the big takeaway is models are showing something next week and most likely will enter the gulf then who knows ultimately from there. Can't wait for it's going north, no west, how many H's to the left or right is that. Hopefully nothing forms at all though

Has happened several times this year

There is no takeaway 10+ days out

As rds posted there are ensembles everywhere from central america to OTS

This is still the one to watch. Yeah, the models are still all over, but this isn't some phantom GFS system. Lots of time though, you're right baw. Now ban yourself!

This is supposedly a commercial aircraft. I'm assuming it went over and not through? I guess going around wasn't an option.

punta canta to Newark

based on speed graphs looks like they had fun in the plane before reaching cruising altitude.

18Z euro running.

at 78 hours out Euro has it underdeveloped and weaker (further south closer to South America) than GFS (996mb, more defined low).

at 90 hrs still weaker and further South and West than GFS

Kind of wish models were showing Louisiana landfall because they never accurate this far out

Sort of true. This is what the gfs was showing 6 days ago for Fiona. Look at where it went

Nick Mikulas has picked up on it too... he's doing the 'I see it, I'm on it, I'll tell you when it's time to worry' type posts on FB

my question is... in a few months time when I leave CenLA for good to head back to SELA... do I keep following Nick Mik? I've come to respect his weather posts

Rds better get his thread creation fingers ready, these models are way too bullish on development of this thing to ignore. The GFS that's running now, so far, is very close to the previous run.
