That boy scout coffee pot is quite possibly the most important part. Lol
The closest I've come to post-hurricane issues was the aftermath of April 27, 2011. We had no power for 8 days. I grew to love percolator coffee. I will make a pot from time to time now.

Pow Pow is a running joke from the outdoor board.

Some dude posted an off the wall thread on the OB and referred to his grandfather as his Pow Pow.

With that said, lots of good trends so far in the 12z models. Options on the table for a track that misses a direct landfall on Florida seem to be increasing.

Saw a thread by Philippe Papin discussing the the diabatic outflow pumping a ridge to Dorian's SE, which would be acting against the western steering.

Stronger storm, pumps that ridge more. Slows down more...and would yield it finding the turn before landfall.

Which might be why the models keep him coming in slower as they catch up to Dorian's intensity.

I'm aware. But I think in this context, as "paw paw" or "pow pow," they're the same. Because I've seen people spell it with an "o" but pronounce like paw paw.

And y’all frickin thought I was joking when I responded to TDs claim that there were more chances of it making it into the gulf with “it’ll probably not make landfall at all” or something like that

I was living in BR during Andrew. 2nd floor of an apartment complex; that same coffee pot (several different grills since then) was the hit of the entire neighborhood.

Don't be in a power outage without one. This may be the most neglected hurricane prep item.

They said, we don't know where it's going, maybe new orleans. They also had a 4 split screen up with a live camera and N.O. was one of them.
