Is it wrong that I am happy knowing that this storm is headed for Florida and is probably making my crazy and cheating whore of ex have panic attacks?
ETA: I am concerned about my friends and everyone else is Florida except for her. Does this make me a bad person?

Not sure yet. It is still a little far out. You might not get f**ked but you are going to see some action so prepare accordingly.

Don’t let your guard down.
Although it's possible that this storm could end up farther west (simply cause we don't know anything that far out yet) saying it's like Katrina is stupid.

Joe Bastardi is saying potential similar track to Storm of 1947, Betsy and Katrina. The problem is all the water that piles up trapped by toe of the boot. That would be 9 days out though. shite they couldn't get Barry right 2 hours before landfall.

This is different. Its a beast with good data to put into the models.

Link please. All I saw is a blend between 1947 and Frances. As far as i know he never mentioned Betsy or Katrina.

j/k...it stands for "rapid intensification." Just as it sounds, it means a storm goes from low to average wind speed to a monster, killer storm in a short time, such as a day or day and a half.
