Duke if you had to choose between the shitty Feeder band over Wilmington or the West Eye Wall, which would you choose and why?

Just took my daughter's kayak off the roof of my car(Her birthday present for next week) as I do not want wind to rip it off as it is starting to get a little gusty here. Now off to pick up kids as here mine only get out at 12:30 and 1pm.

Keep the thread updated and stay safe to those down east.

Myrtle Beach looks very likely to get a piece of the eyewall in the next few hours.

Hilda produced an F-4 that killed like 20 something people in 1964. My grandpa passed the storm in a tugboat and saw the whole thing. Said it was huge.

I was13 at that time and remember that storm. That tornado was just north of LaRose crossed the bayou towards Valentine. A friend of my dad lost his mother, wife, and MIL.

The only thing we've seen is a small bit of wind and some sporadic rain.

Charleston just had a sustained 52, gust 69. That's pretty stout baw.

That lineman in a bucket truck ... still sounds quite windy to me. My brother is a lineman and I'd hate to see him up there in this.

Parents have a house there. Tornado destroyed a trailer park right by the pier. All the trailers were 1 year old after being destroyed and replaced from the last hurricane.

How does one volunteer to help out in the cleanup in the Bahamas?

Anyone who is a veteran can join Team Rubicon.

I just got their deploy notice for the Bahamas. They have 3 deployments coming up.

Great organization headed up by a former Badger football player.

If you looking for an org to donate to, this is a great one

Was a typo apparently, still a 2 @ 110 mph. Not that it really matters.

Getting hard to see how Wilmington doesn't get the eyewall either.

This could possibly be the most expensive storm ever to hit. I am putting Bahamas in with the hit in USA. Sad times.
