There is/was another grrl a letter or 2 off from my name who joined a few months after I. I’ve tried correcting the confusion over the years but what’s the point anyway

Maybe once it’s in the Gulf they will admit they are wrong and update the trac

Don’t say his name. He might appear.

I’d feel very uneasy if I were on the east coast of Florida. Every hour that this thing continues it’s western movement, the closer it’s going to be.

I think we’ve been confused for so long they call us both Sarah or she doesn’t post anymore and I’ve absorbed her history.

Don’t think I’ve met Scuba but I’m pretty sure it’s my backstory now. Know plenty of other posters, though, so interested to see how my history converges
Cheers to my backstory

Still moving west and 1mph faster than the last advisory.

Interesting. So Dorian has sped up (from 5 to 6, so not like a lot) from this afternoon.
Looks like the heading has been more like 265 (just s of due W) for the last three recon fixes.

Most definitely. Recall Irma just a couple of years ago. All along it was heading due West and there was a predicted turn to go right up to Miami. Then it didn't turn up until it made it to the west side Of Florida, many miles later.

From NHC 11PM Discussion...
quote:
The timing of the northwest
or north turn is very critical in determining how close Dorian will
get to the Florida peninsula on Tuesday and Wednesday. In general,
the track models have changed little from the previous cycle, and
the NHC forecast continues to show the core of Dorian very near, but
offshore, of the Florida peninsula on Tuesday and Wednesday. The
hurricane is then expected to track near the Georgia and Carolina
coasts late this week. This forecast is in best agreement with the
various consensus models,
