Dorian isn't in a hurry, but it looks like the center is going to ride the south side. Which is looking like the island being in the northern half of the eye currently. Motion is still generally west at like 5 mph.

This is heartbreaking for the poor people of the northern Bahamas. A slow moving high end Cat 5 is literally the worst case.

00Z NAM which is not specifically designed for modeling the tropics has shifted about 30 or so miles closer to the Florida coast (WSW of previous run).
Maybe one of the experts can comment on what that may mean for the GFS run that comes out later. Is there any correlation between the two models?
