I remember when John Hope first announced that hurricane Andrew was going to be catastrophic.
He was a no nonsense guy but had a very likable almost witty demeanor. But when he realized what was going to happen, he became very serious.
I think his words started with something like “we have an extremely serious situation developing for south Florida”.

Could he be wrong sure no is perfect. At least he'll give us informed reasons why he thinks a storm will move a certain way, instead of people coming on here and just staying it's going west or it's gonna hit here when they are so far out the cone.
