At least it wasn't the Lions Club Rodeo hot dogs, the whole damned parish would be sick.

There used to be a place 30+ years ago called Philly’s Chili on Essen Lane . I got a case of food poisoning so bad that I passed out on my feet while vomiting. I woke up thinking I had died and called my Mom to come get me . Worst sickness I ever had was from that place.

I usually just give them $10-20 and leave the food if I do not know who is cooking it..... and some times BECAUSE I know who is cooking.

I eat like a possum. I leave food out overnight. I eat leftovers as long as their less than a week old. I eat and drink after people. You name it. Somehow, I have never had food poisoning. Ever. I’m probably jinxing myself but I have no idea how I’ve been so lucky. I give credit to having an iron stomach.

This is why even "fundraisers" have to have a food service permit. They don't. Which is why I don't eat at these things after MeeMaw mixed the biscuits in the same bowl that a cat or rat shite in.

Norovirus is obviously a virus that can cause severe food borne illness. It's not always bacterial.
