Yeah, there's so much evidence of this.

You're presuming the case.

Maybe we wuzn't kangs ?

This is another well written article on the discovery... The links to the 'Proceedings of the Geologist Association' are a good read within the article as well.

And that’s significant as the human foot has a unique shape. It combines a long sole, five short toes, no claws

I'm in the clear.

On a geologic timescale, this doesn't sound all that far off.

I believe that at one time in earths history humans lived to be 100,000 years old on average.

As the Earth follows a pattern around a star, will this happen again? In your mind?

Carbon dating doesn't work on rocks. They try to date organic strata on the same geological level as the rocks.

It depends on what the level of error is in their analysis.

Back to my original point, on the geological time scale 1-2 million years is nothing. Couple that with the fact that fossilization is rare. Discoveries happen all the time that change known timelines of extinct species and reconfigure family trees.

I doubt it was +/- 50%

As far as human evolution is concerned, it is a game changer. I mean this could lead to the trashing of most models. . .and perhaps the historical origins of man.

which is one reason why we have MOE

Not like this, though.

Carbon dating wasn't used at all for this shite, y'all dumb arse mother frickers.

You can't date the rock in which the footprints were found, because they were in sedimentary rock, and you can't date sedimentary rock older than 50,000 years.

Like every fricking thing, they used nearby rock strata to "date" the fricking footprints. The age of the rock strata has already been determined by some douchebags in the past. Basically, they make a guestimate of how old the shite is by determining its position in the rock strata.

maybe the footprint isn't as old as the rock?

Just more evidence that they really have no idea.

Remember the story about the soft tissue found in the dinosaur bone? It was supposed to be 68 million years old. LINK
