I drove across Louisiana on I-10 today and saw about two dozen police cars parked at various exits. They were working hard to fill their May quotas.

They have to spend those state and federal grants on seatbelt checks and collect other little fines in the process by looking for expired inspection stickers.

In a state ranked number one in violent crime setting up an inspection sticker checkpoint at 5pm to get all the hard working people on their way home, real good use of law enforcement.

Cops really are dumb if they think persecuting their support is a good idea.

checkpoints in Louisiana crack me up. I've never seen a state focus so much on inspection stickers or DUI checkpoints when crime is absolutely out of control.

EBR sheriffs office had a check point on O’Neal last week at 4:00. Traffic was fantastic.

To be fair, if you try to target actual criminals sometimes they shoot at you. Soccer moms with no inspection stickers are a lot safer.

When the hell is this Republican super majority going to get off their collective asses and pass legislation to get rid of these fricking inspection stickers?!! So tired of electing these jackasses for them to tackle crap nobody cares about.

my wife (no pics) drives to work in Hammond on the interstate every day. Live in Baton Rouge. Her windshield has a huge crack in it right now and the inspection is due in August. The previous two years I have had to replace a functioning windshield with a crack just to get a renewed inspection sticker. This will be the third year in a row that I will have to change her windshield out in order to get an inspection sticker. I think I am going to say F*ck it and not get a sticker this year.

If we eventually get a ticket, so be it.

I drove 2 years without a tax tag bc of cracked windshield, I yanked it off. Not replacing it to get cracked again. Figured I’d pay the tax if pulled over. Of voice I don’t live in crooked backwards towns who look for this, nor EBRP where I understand is also on the lookout. Find a connection and get a tag. Someone always knows someone.

I’d be fine with this if they would impound the uninsured vehicles
