Some kids did this my senior year, but I wasn't one of the cool ones so I didn't get the heads up until right before and couldn't get the other uniform in time.

Administrators just kind of went with it. Gave everyone tests, which was kind of a bummer. But it was funny walking up the stairs half awake before first period and seeing a friend of mine from the other school in town trying to blend in.

High school is so stupid. I couldn’t even bring in a McDonald’s cup without getting interrogated. I had a pack of breath mints in my pocket and the principal had me searched because he thought it was dip.
They still took the breath mints and said candy is not allowed.

It's blowing my mind that more people don't realize how sarcastic that post is.

That is a harmless prank that showed how incompetent the teachers were. If it was my kid being suspended, I'd take them to the beach or something to celebrate days away from the inept.

Does the school pay for their phone? I don’t know how others do it but the phones I allow my kids use are my phones. I pay for those. And that being the case, if I were one of these parents I’d go to the school and demand they return my phone to me.

This. They'd be giving back the phone with the quickness. I would hope some of the students told them to go pleasure themselves when they tried to confiscate them.

Not a lawyer, but if they weren't students of that school and subject to that school's code of conduct, wouldn't that be theft?

Then again, they would also be trespassing.

We flooded our loge and filled it with fish, frogs and lily pads. We also set off fire extinguishers on the hallways and turned a wild pig loose through the foam. Also let loose thousands of crickets in the HVAC ductwork. We heard them for months.

Our principal wishes all we'd done was switch classes with another school.

If the schools had a sense of humor, they would have teachers switch schools for a day and give the students a quiz on material they taught at their own school.

Hell, have some fun with it.

Isn’t a normal prank releasing three pigs into the school marked “1”, “2”, and “4”?

OTOH, BRHS supposedly would have the auto shop kids disassemble a car and reassemble it in the third floor hallway.

We lost the senior room at our HS because some dipshit several years before us put a beer and a baggie of Goody’s headache powder in the ceiling of the room.

The headmaster then did an assembly talking about how he tested it himself and that the cops told him why that was a bad idea. (Given his kids who were at the school, I’m surprised one didn’t snort it thinking it was the real stuff)

Schools got different rules… they could be a dick if they want and not give it back

Do they want to get in a legal pissing match over this?

The students didn’t attend there and didn’t sign a code of conduct.

Trying to bring this to court and explaining why you can legally confiscate a phone (not something illegal like drugs or weapons) for someone who doesn’t even attend there seems like an automatic loser for them.

I mean one argument would be a prohibited item is a prohibited item… no matter who has it… the argument insisting they aren’t students probably doesn’t matter if both schools or under the same system… just playing devils advocate
