I mean WiFi, broadcast television, radio. It’s crazy that these microscopic waves are out there and we can leverage them as a society. Incredible.

we still don't even know how magnets work.

I’m a licensed ham. I sometimes send little waves to the moon and bounce them back to make a contact across the country.
Anyone interested in this sort of thing should get an amateur radio license.

Think about all the things we can't see like the other 90+ % of the electromagnetic spectrum. And things that are too small to see with the naked eye. Cells, molecules, atoms. And the things that are too small to visualize even with microscopes like protons, electrons, quarks, gluons, etc. Things like dark matter.
We can barely detect a sliver of a fraction of what's out there with our feeble human senses.

Like wrapping your mind around faxing. It makes no sense

I still can’t wrap my head around sound etched into vinyl.

For me, what’s even crazier is voice recordings. How can you store a song on a record then play it by swirling a needle on it? That’s nuts.
