I mean, shoot it?

ETA: I meant to say don’t shoot it!

The local trapper for English turn put 3 of these around the house with cat food and we were able to catch 2 of the cats but we just can’t catch this one.

He might have seen the ither cats get trapped and is cautious. Try and put the trap in a box or something to change the way it looks.

As long as he stays outside leave him alone. You will not have a rodent problem. I feed one because I can’t stand to think of them starving to death, but I’ve never seen a mouse near my house either.

Put catnip in the trap. Cats go bat-shite-crazy to that stuff.

Then take the cat to the pound. SPCA is a group of lawyers that try abusive people. They take the abused animals to pounds or shelters.

Tuna fish is a sure fire way to catch a cat or a raccoon. You’ll get one of the two.

If you wanted to get rid of the cats you should have just told that to the previous owners. The previous owners probably would have tried to relocate the cats with them instead of letting them get taken to the pound if you had told them that you did not want them on the property.

I'm almost certain that you're talking about my family's old house based on the details about your father.

We've trapped every cat we've attempted to.
Just use the normal traps they typically use and keep putting moist cat food in there.
You'll eventually catch them.
I assume you're using cages like below...

I spoke to the old homeowners a couple of times about it and they suggested we don’t leave food for the cats. We haven’t left any food for the cats other than what is in the traps. I guess the cats were really comfortable with possibly your family because they are climbing on our front and back doors.

a 22 rifle would be my suggestion, unless you live within the city limits.

A box varment trap and a can of sardines or other smelly canned fish.

Yeah, those three cats are brothers and they adopted my parents when their mother was killed by a hawk. That's why they would keep coming back to that house, even though my parents weren't the only ones back there who would feed them.

They also hunted mice and snakes in the canal behind the properties across the street and would sometimes run off the armadillos and opossums in the park behind the house. With the cats gone, the other wildlife will be back.

Yeah, that trap is what I use to catch raccoons. I have 2 outside cats and they have seen raccoons trapped in them. They are smart enough not to take the tuna fish bait. I put it next to the spot I feed the cats and catch raccoons.

As far as your problem, maybe reconsider the situation? The cat is outside. You won't have mice or snake problems, or really anything that moves problems. Throwing it out a cup of catfood every morning isn't that big a deal. Your allergies arn't going to be affected.

That, or simply stop feeding it (if you are?) If you're not, then one of your neighbors must be. then idk.

Open a can of tuna fish and put it in the trap.

The only thing better is hot fried chicken but that isn't very practical in this situation. Tuna will have ever cat within a mile frothing at the mouth.

How big is this cat ? Must be a big one if he can block a door.

Y’all are scared of cats. I’ve seen two hundred pound men and even bigger women go to pieces over a cat. Feed him outside and go on about your life.

People don’t buy houses expecting for the previous owners to leave their pets behind.

Sav-a-hart animal trap/cage from Home Depot with cat food inside. You’re welcome.
