I don't answer the phone. If you are not in my contacts, leave me a message and I will add you and call you back. If you are not in my contacts I let the call go to VM. I don't decline it. I get maybe 5 a month. I tell my customers the plan also.

It is going to get worse as AI gets more sophisticated.

Did you make sure to put in the .gov? Because if you put in donotcall.com that sends your number straight to every call center in India.

I don’t think the government can solve this. They already tried with the do not call registry.
I think it has to be a private sector solution. Either the carriers themselves or the Apples/Googles/Samsungs of the world.
