I'm curious how they get your info. Has to be either the dealer or you insurance co. Pisses me off.

Say some shite that will make them really uncomfortable. They chose to call you, make them regret it.

I tell them the car exploded and go in to a story about how bad of a fire it was.

ask them if they know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.... and keep on point with that angle... makes it super awkward and usually they'll apologize for calling and hang up themselves...

I doubt they go through all of that. I'm willing to bet it's the finance agency.

If I have, time I always answer the phone pretending to be dumb redneck and when they ask if I'm the owner of a 2009 Nissan Frontier I say why "hell yeah where y'all find that sum bitch at" then I start yelling and hooping and hollering that they found my truck. I tell them it got stolen from the bar or just whatever I come up with.

Some of the other things I've told them:
"Hold on just a second sir,, honey a little less sucking and more of that twirly thing u do with your hand, ohh yeah that's it. Alright sir what were you saying."

"Yeah I'm the owner of that frontier but I done told y'all I didn't rob that dam bank! Now quit call me"

If ever I'm on the road I'll play interested. Ask a lot of open-ended questions and they'll talk for minutes about the details script by script. Agree to buy and they'll transfer you to someone who collects the fee. Read you card number reversing two numbers in every group of four...remember which ones so that you can repeat it exactly to keep their hope alive. Listen as they understandably ask you to read it back the first time, but become more impatient each time you slowly repeat it back. Get transferred to their supervisor and do the same shite. Then when they are really frustrated tell them that you have been intentionally fricking with them to waste their time and resources....this is where it gets good. If you catch the right manager and criticize the career they have chosen...one of being the facilitator of pure obnoxiousness...you can get them to brag about their salary or tesla. Then you tell them how they sound as if they have never had pussy and seem a little gay.

I'm not sure it reduces the call frequency at all, but man it's satisfying.

I truly believe that if every patriot practiced this device we could end this type of telemarketing permanently.

A new law was passed this year to deal with these solicitations...they are a known problem.

New law

Problem is that they are completely scams and you can't track down the culprit to do anything about it. If you quit answering the phone they will stop. That is the only thing that works.

Are there any apps that can identify those numbers as spam and ID them when they call?

Gotta be them. I had a warranty through the Dealership. Or the government is giving it to them. They knew what I drove and wanted to verify the VIN #

How do I get rid of these people?
When you get a human on the line say "Thanks for calling me! I'm excited about the potential of buying the warranty but before we talk about that I want to talk with you about my enthusiasm in making my female sex partners perform the rusty trombone maneuver on me." Then go on to describe the act for them in graphic explicit detail highlighting different consistencies of "rust", etc, don't allow them to stop you.

tl/dr: Take the game to them.

I always ask them of they happen to have the number for "cardholder services"...they usually don't know what to say.

My phone has that built-in: LINK

I have seen apps in the Play Store that also claim to do that but have not tried them.

If I answer & it's something like that I go to the Do Not Call website & report it.
It's just a few questions, doesn't take but a minute to report
