Just do what she asks if it’s nothing major. It will make your life easier. And the next time she will be more understanding. Some people have nothing better to do with their time. If she’s not willing to be reasonable after that olive branch then do what you want and the HOA will know her reputation.
Or, just sell your house to a bunch of out of town contractors that will clog up the streets with their cars and party all night, so she will miss you.

I have a old lady neighbor who likes to knock on my door and ask if the mail has been delivered. Some days she doesn't get mail and she says she doesn't want to keep checking the box if it already came. So I guess we all deal with stuff.
