Cut the cord dude. I did it over a year ago and have not regretted it for a moment.

If you are looking for the perfect situation you are not going to find one.

If you are not a sports fan, it is easier.

What channels do you want? I only have a hd antenna, Amazon and Netflix.

I rotate 7day free trials of the TV apps if there is something I want to watch.

It’s been over 15 years since i’ve Had cable. Don’t miss it one bit. I can stream everything, when I want, no commercials.

You can share codes, use promos, Pirate, etc. you aren’t beholden to their shitty shecule and brainwashing anymore.

Netflix. Hulu. Amazon Prime. Plenty of good stuff.

It's so satisfying returning your cable box to those frickers.

For sports, digital satellite or go to a bar. Sure, the bar paid for cable, but you're still hurting the cable company on the other days of the week

If you get either DirectTV Now or YouTube TV, you can get pretty much all the sports channels you’ll want. Both cost like $30-$40 range a month and have pretty much all the live channels, even local networks, you’ll want.

I cut the cord, moving to Sling, then to PS Vue, each one about $50/month. I got an HD antenna for local channels. Now I'm on YouTube TV, $40. I don't need the HD antenna now because local channels are included.

We have Netflix and DirectTV Now with HBO. Between the two I’m still paying less than half what I use to pay for DirectTV satellite TV. And the cool thing about the DirecTV Now app is in addition to being able to stream live channels, I can also download app like HBO GO, History, ESPN, and a bunch of others and watch the content available on those apps by signing in with with DirectTV app.

For example, on the HBO GO app, they have virtually every series HBO has ever done right there on demand... every season, every episode.
