I agree.
I'm just saying people that think they will lose weight by eating 500 less calories of whatever their typical diet consists of without exercising are absurd. It might work in the short term, but it will be very difficult to keep weight off long term without develop good exercise habits regardless of what their diet consists of.

The thread is about sugar industry shifting blame, it was quite the opposite and there are knuckleheads here buying it. Creating panic over sugar consumption is asinine as is believing you can be "healthy" without exercise.
Let me know how that works out for you.

Congrats Captain Ancedote
I am also able to handle these items due to muscle mass/insulin sensitivity, but to pass that off as advise is silly. The Schadenfreude is strong in you...
This also plays a role

About what? You think the fact that every message you deliver on here makes you sound like a raging hemorrhoid-ringed a-hole would upset me?? Not one bit.
I have thoroughly enjoyed so much about this thread. It has been informative, anecdotal and eye-opening. I wish there were more of this type here.
How you doing?

Yes, including laziness with diet.

I love when people think they are going to lose weight just by changing the way they eat without exercising.
You mean hate reality?

Thinking exercise can lead to weight loss for someone very overweight is like saying you can cut an acre of grass with a pair of scissors.
Sure it can be done but diet is like a zero turn lawnmower.
If you actually looked at the math of calories burned doing a vigorous hour of exercise every single day vs changing your diet to consume way less calories youd realize the opposite of your argument is true.
Easier to regulate food than consistently get exercise every single day.
Consider 2 slices of pizza is 800 calories.
You can either:
A. Walk away from the pizza and go watch a movie
B. Eat the pizza then do 3 hours of cross fit to add up to the 800 calories.
Before you answer remember a 200lb person burns 90 calories an hour doing nothing so you have to subtract 270 calories from the 800 if that is taking into account already.
So scenario A the person is 1070 calories down over the 3 hour period.
Scenario B you're exhausted and hungry and only down 800 calories
Still think you can treadmill your way to skinny?

What does this have to do with the sugar argument?
Posted on 9/13/16 at 8:54 pm to nc14
Replying to lionnation, not you.
Eta do you disagree long term sugar is more damaging to your body?

Long term anything out of balance is damaging. Does your question as an answer indicate lack of knowledge on the subject or just closed mindedness?

Well by all means get up to 300 pounds and try to lose it all off without exercise and let me know how that works out for you

Yeah, the next step for you is to admit to yourself that beer and bread are effectively nothing but sugar and try to limit those also. They do make some low carb bread that isn't bad.
I know that, that was my point.
I'm happy to limit candy, soft drinks, etc. The bread and beer are harder to turn down.
