One popular meal is finding discarded fried chicken, cleaning it somewhat, and frying it again. I forgot what they call it.
Once in Houston some coworkers that were Filipino took me along to lunch at a buffet. Filipino food I had was disgusting

Why do you think a fat, old, balding white dude can easily bring home a Filipino chick who will take care of his every need and desire?
I met a friend over there early this year. Just happened to be in his city. Just under a year as an expat, and he loves it. His fiancée was there too, well under half his age. He's not coming back unless he a very serious medical problem. Met a few other expats too, it's a very real thing. Not for me but I can see the appeal. It's a very poor country but beautiful and the people are laid back and friendly.

115 million people crammed into West Virginia sounds perfectly fine to you?
The land area difference between Japan and the Philippines is the size of West Virginia. Your question makes no sense. I was comparing the sizes of those two countries to say that the Philippines isn’t as small as the OP thinks. Reading is not that difficult

They're the second most Catholic country in the world. The church strongly apposes any form of birth control. Kids here are like roaches, they're everywhere.

In what world are either Indonesia or Japan the size of West Virginia?

Same. He's like 60 and she's about 30. He's not exactly a baller by US standards either, but by Phillipine standards he's probably relatively well off. Good for him.

Their way of getting out, including their native children, is to marry an old American white man.

Apparently I’m not the only one to misunderstand your poorly-written post. Writing is not that hard.

Have you been there? Outside of Manila?

I’ve been a few times for work. Nicest people I’ve ever interacted with. Manila is ridiculously crowded and they have some very nice/wealthy areas in the city that I enjoyed, but the poverty is all around. The traffic is an absolute nightmare.
I’ve had a few days to spare on two separate occasions to go to some beaches/resorts on various islands. They’re unreal. The Philippines is also, as one can imagine, extremely cheap. It gets hot as hell and central a/c isn’t a thing there. I enjoy some of the foods (lechon and sisig) but is overall unhealthy.
I’d recommend visiting a resort/beaches over there if ever in SE Asia.
