It's amazing what people will believe in the pursuit of basic human desires like love and security.

Yeah, that show in particular i think is fabricated/"re-enacted" .

I've seen a few episodes and noticed that there were quite a few people who were unknowns trying to break into modeling, acting, recording, etc. and it played a prominent role in the "plot." Pretty clear sign it's fake, just some people agreeing to play the part to get some exposure.

Even though the show is likely scripted, I'll give you an honest, fallacy-lacking opinion on why people will continually fall for this type of shite. I apologize for the length, but I'd love to know if people see or do not see eye to eye with the following:

1. Lack of parenting. A lot of these kids come from divorced families or they were never part of a nuclear family, period. I do not have a link present, but I read an article that most 20-30 somethings who look for love -- not just online, but BLINDLY online -- come from an environment where they were lacking love, structure, support, and confidence when they were children. Parents are too busy wanting to have reasons and distractions that keep them from parenting that their kids end up being isolated and confused dumbasses.

2. Social media is not making this country better. I have a Facebook account and I get on Td.com. I don't own any of the others. Reason being is I just don't, but some of these kids/college-somethings/30-year-olds cannot socially communicate properly and so they spend all day on social media...and I mean ALL day, without a break. Do you have people in your Facebook feeds that post up to 10-20 "pictures" a day of stuff that isn't even about them? It's just stuff where it says "Share if..." or how difficult relationships are, but we'll get through it because x,y,z nonsense? I mean dozens of stupid photos with "aphorisms" on them? These are those people. Their life has now sifted into the world wide web. They are irrational, stupid, awkward, shy, and arse-backwards. There's no chance now of them meeting anyone in the outside world. I wish we could just put all of these people on an island far away because not to contradict myself, but they always find a way to reproduce...and give that child the ole #1 I mentioned earlier.

2b./3. Because the web is their livelihood, and life is still somewhat real to them, then everything is real. This isn't a false analogy...this is what happens when your life is inside of a machine 24 hours a day.

4.Oddly enough, a lot of these "Catfished" people do not work for a living. We complain about poor, ghetto trash who use LA Purchase cards and beat the system, but they're also too low-level to even know what catfish means (and they have no problems finding similar people to have sex with). Some of these MTV people and just catfish victims in general have nice set-ups (I saw one girl lived in an aprtment in Manhattan...her step-dad hooked her up). They sit around all day and take medication for this and that social phobia and as long as they are out of mom's/step-dad's/grandma's way, then footing the bills for them not to work and just breathe is AOK. I have a friend from high school who is 40 and has never worked a day in his life and he's also never had any life outside of drugs. Mom and dad would rather just pretend to care and to keep him alive by giving him money everyday instead of watching him struggle to work for a living. The same goes for catfished victims...they are addicted to the intranet like it's 97 percent pure heroin laced with Jesus, cocaine, and tits.

5. I mentioned medicine. Medicine for all types of phobias, depression, anxiety...these medcines do not help them find true meaning in life; they help them accept that their pathetic lives actually mean something.


Americans are by and large stupid idiots. They still get scammed through emails and phone calls; they still believe that someone else is responsible for race wars when it's their own damn inability to think for themselves that allows them to be bought by such non-sense; they vote for movie stars for political positions; they can't tell you who the Secretary of Defense in the Obama administration is (many do not know who Biden is); they think eating a salad bar is healthy. These are half of the damn country. The people who blindly look for love on the internety and believe they're not being played are the ones who have proven why the internet has dumbed us down. There is a wealth of info out there just being ignored -- ala actually studying about who the Sewcretary of Defense is instead of looking at Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, and blogs all day and all night. These people go to bed a 4 am and wake up at noon and then do then wash, rinse, repeat dumbassity. I know so much because once upon a time when I was about 24, I let this be my life for about 6 months when life got hard. After 6 months, I realized -- this is NO kind of life. Then, I found a real job and real friends and went to bars and restaurants as opposed to chat rooms and spending 6 hours on TD.com My post count was one of the highest when I first got in here.
