People aren’t born wanting to commit crimes so it’s def the former. You would commit crimes too if your baby needed to eat today and pay is sunday

You are an idiot.
To use your analogy, you are the Rally's/Checkers of people.

And this is a perfect example of why the “average” person makes 75k but has an 800 dollar car note…and less than 500 dollars in savings
Pretty similar to our family. We make good money and our nicest vehicle is a late model Accord. I have a decent truck I guess but it's older and has been paid off.

Aren’t modern accords (which are like middle class cars for last 10 years plus) still a 700+ note

Not sure what to tell you. I didn’t buy it to impress any one. But it’s a nice vehicle. Certainly nicer than the vast majority of people in the US should be driving (based on median incomes). Based on what most people make, they should be driving my kids Yaris.

Why couldn't I just swipe my SNAP card?

They do, poor people aren’t good with money or have knowledge because they are stuck in a loop of poverty.
What about diapers?
What about childcare
Gas? There’s snap for these?

With no down payment and top of the line model, probably.

What, other than posting on a message board, are you personally doing to help educate poor people about finances? What are you doing to help get them out of the loop of poverty?
Just curious.

Some people get it, some don't.
I am kind of a car guy so really have more than needed.
Our "nice vehicle" is a 2016 Toyota Highlander.
I have a 2008 Silverado for "truck things," it's still in really good shape as I rarely drive it.
Have a 2008 Toyota Camry that I use to travel for work.
Have a 1969 Chevrolet Caprice that is my toy.
Paid cash for all.

Nah. We paid maybe 31k for that vehicle and put 10k down. We didn't have a trade in. Honda had like 3% financing for the rest. It's less than $400/mo

My entire neighborhood went from working class kids to professional adults.
There's always excuses.

If you’re really curious, my wife and I donate a large sum every year to Boston food bank and my wife personally did clinic for homeless for volunteer hours.

Fair enough.

A 79% out of wedlock birthrate plays a large part in this. Government needs to stop incentivizing single motherhood and society needs to stop championing it.

You are too dumb to even argue with if you can’t understand that many people have trade ins and/or put money down when buying a vehicle.
My accord (when I had it) had a $235 note

For some reason, you rarely hear about diapers getting stolen.
They don't even lock them up in stores.

I really don't give a crap about vehicles anymore. They are stupid expensive. I've rather have more disposable income and savings than Apple Car Play or whatever.
I hope my 2017 lasts another 10 years. It's a Ford though so I doubt it

This ain’t why 99% of crimes are committed and you know it.
