Don't forget the two new vehicles, updated wardrobes, and travel ball for the kiddos. I don't get it either. My wife and I make $140k, and we live very comfortably. But there's a lot we don't do to afford life right now.

180k for my family last year. We have 3 vehicles: 1 nice (2022 CRV), my truck (2012 Nissan Frontier) and the teens car they share (2011 Toyota Yaris).

All their little friends make fun of their car, most have much nicer. The median income in our town is around 80k at most.

And if you artificially raise wages, then you artificially pump more money into the system... as well as cause prices ro rise to cover the cost of raising said wages... meaning more money will be available to purchase things, which will thus cause scarcity which will drive prices up which will mean we have to raise wages again which will... well... you get the idea.

Assuming that the median income should be able to afford the median home assumes that the lowest income person should be able to afford to buy a home by themselves. That's not the way this works

I know, that’s why I said houses are only for upper middle class and above. Just like how boomers had it right?

And this is a perfect example of why the “average” person makes 75k but has an 800 dollar car note…and less than 500 dollars in savings

I don't drive a luxury car nor do I own one.

But I also wouldn't call a Honda "nice."

Newish vehicles are a huge income suck, especially for young people because of multiple reasons.

High payments
Higher insurance
Repairs cost more
It sets the expectation that they always have to drive a newer vehicle

My brother makes less than $45k and drives a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that was roughly $30k.

My dad makes probably $200k, is semi retired, and drives a 2010 Silverado that he paid about $15k for.

Modern black culture is largely incompatible with the rest of mainstream society. 13% of the population commits 50% of the violent crime and they take tremendous pride in doing so. Large parts of major metropolitan areas (where most jobs are) are uninhabitable because of the black violent crime rate. A lot of houses that should be starter homes for young families just starting out on their own are simply not an option because people don't want to have to dodge gunfire walking to their mailbox. Therefore, the home prices in areas that actually are safe enough to live in skyrocket because they are more scarce.

If that hurts your feelings, I don't give a shite. I'm cynical about humanity's future because we do everything we can to coddle and incentivize this bullshite instead of trying to eradicate it.

This myth is debunked to death. It’s not race but income disparity. Rich black people don’t go commit 50% of rich people crimes.

Bro chill, we drove a standard Impreza for 10 years. What you drive isn’t always reflective of wealth or income

Poor people commit the majority of violent crime. It isn't a race thing, it's an income thing.

There's poor whites around here who love stealing shite, robbing people, and beating people up.

Do poor people commit crime because they're poor or are criminals poor because they're constantly committing crimes?

Dude, aren't you at all concerned about what your status looks like when you are rolling down the streets? At LEAST tell me you have 22" spinners on that CRV.
