Slap Ya Mama is FAR superior to Tony’s.

And yes, we have it up here in Massachusetts.

It’s used by a lot of my friends in KY, and thankfully it’s sold here, so it has to sell somewhat well but it’s definitely not widespread. My friends didn’t use it until I introduced them to it.

tony's, slap ya mama, and other cajun/creole seasonings are pretty common throughout the country now.

Tony's has been in my area for a long time but I was surprised to see a whole dang display of Slap ya mama at Harris Teeter last week. Been able to consistently get Camellia beans locally for awhile too.

Nah. It’s regularly stocked here in most of the big box groceries and some of the smaller fruit markets. I use it fairly regularly.

Tony’s is overrated. I can’t use it. It has to to much salt. It’s easier to make you’re own seasoning with salt black pepper red pepper onion powder and paprika.

Not that prevalent but Louisiana hot sauce or Tobasco sauce is very prevalent in my house in Florida .

When I lived in Ohio, my roommates laughed at me for putting it on everything.

It’s definitely not.

Why do some of yall make these statements as if the citizenry of the state is a monolith?

The two British vloggers that traveled across Louisiana last month fell in love with some Tony’s.

Someone even shipped him a bottle and he uses it to season his food.

Someone ought to ship him box of Tony single packets. So he can whip it out when he goes out to eat.

went to a bar on Friday for HH.
they were serving home made chicharrones at each table.
waitress asked if we wanted Plain or "Texas Heat" seasoning.
someone at my table asked her what "Texas Heat" was.

......"It's Tony's with a little more paprika and red pepper"

Regular Tony’s has too much salt, we use Nunus seasoning from Youngsville. Get it by the 112oz jug:

If I want salt, I go with the Baja Gold:

100% acceptable

People in Louisiana all know they have a side. Don’t lie motherfrickers.

The only reason we keep multiple different brands of the seasoning is to prevent potential conflict during family events.

The same goes for Louisiana hot and Tabasco

I really don’t think I know any anyone that doesn’t have both.

I have seen this yes.

I don’t have any brand loyalties. For example we use SYM seasoning for general cooking, but I use Louisiana for my seafood boils.
