40 was when my body started telling me to quit treating it like I did when we were 20...

Knees, stones, back, hamstrings.

I feel like a Chevy that just went off warranty

it’s not age that matters. If you’ve been doing the same job/activity for a long period of time and you are getting physically burned out (and rightfully burned out, not some wussy millennial definition) AND you have been doing said job/activity for an impressive amount of time as compared to your peers doing the same type of job/activity, then you can say, “I’m getting to old for this”.

As soon as staying home and going to bed early on a Friday night becomes a goal and not a punishment.

For me, it was more mental. When planking and flash mobs made their debut, I knew the laws of reason no longer applied.

Remember when flash mobs were a bunch of decent but nerdy kids showing up somewhere and doing something like dancing or singing a song?

Now they rob stores.

I generally found it to be true in certain cases after I turned 60. About to turn 64 and will be retiring in January. Time to leave the job and the bullshite that comes with it to the younger folks.

58 here. When you start saying you're too old for (whatever), you're starting to die.

It depends on what shite one is referring to.

Dancing in pirouettes in grocery store while singing the Barney song?

Nailing 15 year old girls?

Drinking till 4 and going to work at 6?

Having sex at all???
