We usually do ours once a year

Semi-annually, I think I pay $199/yr to BTR a/c

As few times as possible. If you keep the compressor coils clean and your filter changed you shouldn't have to service it every year unless you just like throwing a couple of hundred dollars away.

Jody does mine for free, every time I'm out of town her services my unit.

Exactly what gets serviced that you can't do yourself?

I have all of my rental properties checked every year in May.

I can cook but go out to eat when I don’t feel like doing it myself.

I can say I do this with both my rentals because I don't trust others with things like that. In my own home, keep the areas clean and replace filters on time and you shouldn't have issues.

I clean the evap once per yr, clean the condeser monly with water hose.

As noted, keep your system clean and you're good to go for the most part. Change the filter as recommended, keep the evap and condenser coil clean. Make sure the insulation on the suction line outside isn't deteriorating, check for ductwork deterioration and maybe make sure the primary evap pan is clean to avoid a drain blockage. You maintain your car...maintain your a/c system too, if you want it to run at it's peak performance.

You should clean it at least once a year with a detergent. Plain water doesn't clean.

I use simple green a least once.

Once a year. $75.
Milking a slow leak in one of our units. Try to get Freon added before it totally goes out.

Why?
Posted on 6/15/18 at 8:43 pm to TechDawg2007
I do it once per year...main thing that I like is for them to clean out all of the drain lines and put some shite in each one that kills any alge that is growing.
