Firewood guys delivered and stacked a 1/2 cord of seasoned wood about 2 weeks ago. I paid $270, I’m in St Amant. Wood is good and burns great, this is the 2nd year in a row I’ve used them and I’ll use them next year.

Whatever he charges and whether or not you are willing to pay that price.

You can't stack your own firewood?

Truckload is less than half a cord,(short bed), a full cord is a good bit of wood.

Depends where you live, but most places around $50-$60, maybe a little more if delivered and stacked. A 1/2 cord of wood cut into 16"-18" pieces when stacked would be about 4'x8'. This would easily fill up a full size truck bed.

It’s pilled up everywhere. Hopefully someone will make a business out of organizing and selling it.

Anyone buying firewood in south Louisiana the next few years is dumb and lazy
So much wood I was able to get off the side of the road that was cut already. Just go buy an ax and get to splitting

Last year I paid $80 for a true face cord (1/3 cord) back home. During the freeze earlier this year I had a guy meet me, in a pinch, with a 1/4 cord for $120. I should have known by the price but when I started transferring it I noticed it was only about a quarter of a 1/4 cord. I told him I'd give him $60 or he could take that shite back. He took the money
Be careful if you're buying from someone in/around the city. They count on you not knowing how much is in a cord and make up their own dimensions. If it comes stacked in a 6ft truck bed then it's a 1/4 cord, MAX, if even that much.
A full cord is a shite ton of wood, 4x4x8 or 128 sqft. A face cord (1/3) is typically what a Home Depot type of rack will hold. A face cord is also typically what people call a rick. Don't let them bullshite you on the dimensions, it's not debatable.
You can find a cord for around $300 if you search around in the country. It's gonna be double that around the city.

I recently purchased a truck load which is supposed to be half a cord for $100. Had to pick it up myself but they loaded it up for me. Thought that was a pretty decent price. I just hope it burns. He claimed it was seasoned but idk. Looks like it was recently split. Some people let the tree sit on the ground for several months or so and split and call it seasoned. I personally think after splitting it needs almost a year before being seasoned.
