Delivered and stacked. What kind of prices for a 1/2 cord and full cord. And for you guys that can help me define what a cord looks like, please explain how you can tell if a load of wood is a full cord.

I think I paid around $40 for a 1/2 cord of seasoned oak about a year ago. Not sure if that's good or not. Seemed like a good deal to me not having to unload and stack it.

40 bucks for half a cord? That’s dirt cheap man. shite just the splitting alone is worth more than that

thats a great deal depending on where your located. around metro areas you will be paying $350 for a face cord(they will say a cord but they are selling a face cord). so less that a half cord.

Maybe it was more then. Or maybe it wasn't a 1/2 cord. I think I just told him "a truckload" and he pulled up with the bed of his truck filled up with it. Took him and his son about 30 minutes to unload and stack it all. I still have a bunch left.

That's probably for a 1/2 rick. Half cords (rick) I see advertised are from 100-125 and cords for 200-225.

The trick with buying firewood is making sure it's actually seasoned and not what they call "seasoned"

If you bust open a piece and see water lines you know it's not actually seasoned.

When I used to sell, I always let it season for a full year in the barn.

I bought a 1/2 face cord at the beginning of summer and it was about $200, delivered and stacked.

I think you got a good price.

I just looked up my text exchange with him, and this is what it was. He actually said it'd be $60 but cut me a deal because I gave him a couple of old pallets I had sitting in the backyard.

Sorry for being dumb. And you're right, this wasn't completely seasoned last winter, but it is now.

We used to cut it to make money (hard arse work), I think we sold cords for $150.00 but that was years ago.

I saw an add in DFW the other day for $450.00 a cord stacked and delivered

they are pricey but they bring good seasoned wood. $250/ half cord. Nothing worse than having new wet wood all year

Nobody can have a valid answer for you without knowing where you live. Are you in the middle of the Sahara desert? Norway? Port Vincent? Each location has different logistics, and therefore, a different answer.
