Don't generalize. Depends on the MD. Me - less than 1%. Time on TD - way more than 1%

They're just discussing the Jimmy John's and Sprinkle's cupcakes that are being dropped off.

Last time I went there were two slutty looking ho's in the waiting room eyeballing each other.

Exactly 0% in this office.

When I was a med student, the family med doctor I was with for my rotation had a rep every other week dropping off supplies/meds along with food (New orleans hamburger and seafood). Food was mostly for the staff and stuff. All in all useful having the drug reps stop by. Most of the sample meds were given to patients who otherwise wouldnt be taking anything due to the expense.
---
Personally, I probably go to medical device dinner every 2-3 months.

It was awesome back in the 90s. Deep Sea fishing trips with 4 different reps each summer, sometimes more than one with the same rep. And it didn't matter your specialty. We had a cardio, neuro, ENT, and oncologist on the trip each time.

Drug reps are mostly women
But the medical tech reps seem to lean towards men. Probably bc they have STEM degrees. I went to school with quite a few

10-15 minutes per day from a PA's perspective. They need signatures for samples which in turn helps the patients medically and monetarily. So there is a point to it.

MD of emergency medicine? Probably none.

I graduated high school in 99, so at that point I was working and in college. I only made a few trips to fish in college.

I remember my cousin was fresh out of college with a communications degree or something, making like 80/90k at Merck with a company car and always hunting with doctors. Every other hot girl out of Michigan State was a drug rep. My bro tried to be discreet in his dealings with reps and I remember even being amazed one day when some smokeshows paid for a huge dinner at some high-end seafood place where he was giving a talk. I was always jealous of the drug reps back then. All the money is now in medical devices, I guess.

We talk to them less than 5 min when they come in and we are open 10 hours a day. So 3 a day come in. 15 min out of 10 hours.
