I'm 23 pulling down $78k. Switching majors from Chemistry to ChemE was one of the best decisions I've made in my 23 years on this earth.

You guys making 70k + @ 25 what do y'all do. All engineering? I made 44k a 25, still make that now.
Project management for a petro Chem construction firm. Billed by the hour and worked a ton of OT on a huge job. Plus a nice bonus that year

Reading this thread just helped me figure out the problem with our country.
25 year olds making 6 figures while they post on tigerdroppings at work all day, and blow all their money on drugs. All those stacks going into to the pockets of the cartel..

This thread delivers.
Average income at 25 of the OT, around 110k. Less than 10% <$60k
Actually the average seems like it's around 70k, only a few people said more than 100k. 70k isn't a reach for a 25 year old with a college education (possibly graduate degree), working in O&G, Healthcare, Finance.
Those that were making shite money most likely didn't speak up.

As a LSU grad, working in finance, 10 yrs ago at 25 I was around $35k...so there.

I was making $38k at 25 as a high school English teacher. Worst decision of my life was majoring in education.

Graduated LSU ME in early 2000's at 24 (6 years of college...) and first job was $52k salary w no bonus. Thought that was all the money in the world at the time...

At 25 I made around 36k and a company car (big shot I know). I think my rent was like $300 a month. I always had money in my pocket, and I never really cared about money anyway until I was in my early 40's.

Right around 60K. But... that was a fairly long time ago.
I know how to fix broken things. ANY broken things.

Actually the money I saved went into buying some land, building a house and now getting ready to raise a kid

Well at 25 I was 3 years removed from getting my degree. It's not like I was fresh out of school. My starting salary was only $40k. But no one just makes their salary. You only make salary in between projects. When you are on site you are billed hourly to the client and you get OT and $80-125 a day per diem and per diem is tax free.

I got my first real job at 25, I was making $65k/yr working at a bank in IT.

Probably around $40K in 1997
I was bartending, so 90% of that was cash. I never real knew exactly what I was making, all I knew was I had a pocket full of cash all the time and was ninja rich.

True.
I made 55k at 25 (2009), thought that would be top 25% of 25 years olds....not so

Maybe finance was a stretch. CPA, maybe. 70k isn't a reach for Healthcare or O&G, though.
ETA: I was 3 years removed and almost done with a graduate degree at that time.
