I will admit that it is a downfall to not using streaming services that I have to choose about 7k of my 20k songs to put on my iPhone. I had a classic iPod (before they stopped making them) and it held ~75k songs. It was awesome.. but got stolen. Those frickers.

Well, sounds like SiriusXM/Pandora is the perfect match for y'all. To each his own.
I just like to listen to what I want, when I want.
Also, is it true that SiriusXM charges per listening device? Like two different vehicles = two subscriptions? I actually heard a guy at work say this today and not sure if I believe him.

I just put all the songs on random (over 14k of them). I like a mixture if genres.
The car I bought in February had sirius. Couldn't stand the crap quality of the tracks, personally. But I'm real picky on that.

Each sattelite radio, I believe, has to have its own subscription. The work-around is to use your phone app and bluetooth on any vehicle or device that's capable.

I have Sirius mostly for Howard Stern, Amazon music, and Apple music. I guess I should get rid of Apple music and keep Amazon music since I know I will keep prime. Do ya'll know of anything Apple music can do that Amazon can't?

I have a good bit of music loaded onto the external 256GB SD card in my android device. I can swap out cards as I want.

Serious question - the only thing keeping me from switching to Android from iPhone is the convenience of organizing music, using iTunes, etc. for iPhone. I would definitely like to be able to store more with an external SD card. What do you use or what is most common for organizing your music on your computer? Is there a program comparable to iTunes or you just do it via regular music folders?

Amazon Music Unlimited is where it’s at.
If you have a .edu email address, you get 6 months of prime for free then it’s $50 a year. Also, with the .edu address Amazon music unlimited is $4.99 a month. Same number of songs as Apple Music.
(Apple music also has a .edu discount for $4.99. But they have the same songs and with Amazon you get the music, prime shipping and Prime Video for that one price)

I tend to manage it by hand using Windows, but Media Monkey does a really good job if you want something similar to iTunes without all the limitations.

They ask you to send a scannned document as proof for Music Unlimted but not the Prime student discount. I also work for a University and sent them a scanned copy of my generic work ID that haste university name, my name and a picture. They accepted it almost immediately

Don't care. Left apple's bullshite about 4 years ago and have been much less frustrated. The apple/iOS camp reminds me of the beginnings of a cult.

I'd have to say that 95% of songs i look for are available to me on Amazon Music
Granted, I dont listen to a lot of current music so maybe that's the stuff that's more restricted.

I have Apple music because it allows me to have access to anything I want, but the only thing about it is... Is that you don't actually OWN any songs. When you pay for a single song, you can use it as you want.
And since we are on the topic, maybe someone can help me, but for DJing apps on my ipad, the only music I can access are the songs I bought before paying monthly for Apple music. Does anyone know away I can access the music I want?
With apps like Spotify.. Isn't that just like Napster? I don't believe music should be accessed for free, because artist should get paid for their work.. If they didn't then there would be less and less artist, but maybe I should go to the music board for the detailed questions in this post.
