How much longer will iTunes last?

With the popularity of Apple Music how long will iTunes last? Instead of paying anywhere from .99 for a single to $9.99 for an album, you can pay $10/month and have everything at your exposure without buying anything else.
Since I got Apple Music, I haven't bought anything on iTunes and that's been over 2 years.
Thoughts?

To answer your question, it's not like they're providing a service. People pay to gain access to a download but I doubt it's still up in the next 2-3 years.

Id much rather own the music permanently than have to stream it until the service goes out.

So, a lot of people have satellite radio. Sometimes I prefer listening to my Sirius channels and sometimes I listen to my music through my phone. It's called having options.

Satellite radio is great when driving long road trips. You don't have to worry about making a bunch of playlists or messing with your phone while driving.
Especially great if you are tired of listening to music and want to listen to talk radio(news, whatever) for a bit as well.

If you don't pay for Spotify sometimes you have to listen to whole albums on shuffle, instead of being able to just pick the song. I use Apple Music, but still use iTunes for movies, Tv shows, etc. I don't like Spotify's UI and it was a very easy transition to Apple Music because all my old songs are already in my library

I'm a sucker. I've spent easily upwards of $2,000 on iTunes since it came about. But I prefer to own the music. Not a fan of having to continuously pay for what is essentially temporary access to music.

Who needs all this crap. I just listen to my own digital library (~5 TB of music) No streaming fees, no streaming issues, no lag and or poor quality audio, no one dictating what I can or should listen to, no net neutrality issues, no way Trump can screw with it.
