Was there the other day with some folks that don't visit NO much and in broad daylight a guy was standing and pissing on Royal, everyone in car went "oh my"

After listening to a service mechanic from that area that came to our work the other day describe how 4 of his family members (brother, niece, aunt, grandmother) have Ben murdered over the years there I'm pretty much not bringing my family there.
It changed our minds. We were going to go this week during spring break to bring the kids to the zoo, aquarium, and me to the wwII museum. Didn't happen.

I'm not arguing that Frenchmen is less touristy than the quarter, but you're missing the point.
Frenchmen is very touristy. It's not 2010. In the Bama/LSU national championship program, the call Frenchmen "the local's Bourbon street. Our sad the very first thing in the Things to do list.
I've heard from friends that the gutterpunks are worse than ever. They've always been annoying. But I hear they have gotten more confrontational than when I lived there.

I saw it twice today on my way to work. However today is a bit unusual since I haven't been shot yet.

That isn't made up and you don't spend much time there if you don't see this stuff happen.

So you were driving on Royal huh?

bullshite. You didn't see two people pissing in broad daylight half a block form each other on some random day. If you had added some believable detail to your lie such as "Last Mardi Gras I saw blah blah blah," perhaps it wouldn't have been so obvious.
Fun fact, for the last year I drive through the Quarter at least once a week for work to get to a job site and I also enjoy the occasional night out there. I have never seen that happen on a random day, and I grew up here.

exactly. This was the first clue.

you need to take a walk around there then because you are missing reality

You obviously don't get it because this is just wrong. Locals don't hate the Quarter, they hate Bourbon.
Wrong, I hate the Quarter and Bourbon.

Or we can all just agree you're full of shite.

1. I don't make shite up
2. I believe it was Royal, I wasn't driving my friend that lives there was

And the backtracking commences. You're full of shite. Don't bother trying to convince anyone otherwise.

Sorry what actuall occurred in the quarter offends you

There is definitely a huge fat black lady who pulls down her pants and urinates on Canal Street or the upper Quarter every day. Every single day.
Posted on 3/30/16 at 9:26 am to Old Sarge
I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it wasn't on Royal Street. Royal somehow stays immune to all the stereotypical FQ stuff people write home about.

I go to NO frequently for business purposes and I'm never in the quarter at night. But I like to take long 5-6 mile walks in the morning and midday, I've never seen as many homeless and meth headish folks

So you've never been to an actual big city then. Congrats on your lack of travels.
