The site that you got that list from also includes this:
Note that this list, detailed and inclusive as it is, can also be misleading. The CRS counts any event of any size, even those that were just a small posse entering another country to pursue a criminal. The CRS also expressly states that the legality of the events on the list has not been taken into consideration—for instance, if the U.S. sends troops to protect its embassy during a civil war or deploys a deterrent force into a country whose neighbor is amassing troops on its border, the act would likely be considered welcome by some participants and an invasion by others.

I got news for you, I was a paratrooper and I am a veteran AND with all the equipment I wouldn’t be combat ready. My mindset isn’t there anymore and it takes a while to develop that. I’m just not that person anymore.
Your friend would be a target. A big stupid target. Once he figured out everyone doesn’t respawn he would give everything that he is to be anywhere else in the world but there.
If your friend is such a badass tell him to sign up under a Ranger contract. If he doesn’t want to, call him a bitch and tell him to shut up.
ETA… after a little more thought, if your friend is the badass he thinks he is, he’d already be a veteran. There has been too many opportunities to serve in the last 20 years for him to sit on the sidelines.
Call him a bitch and tell him to shut up no matter what.

That's not 84.
And I noticed you have yet to cite a source.

An outrageous amount of cash to burn on bulk ammo so you can actually train. The rest of that stuff is meaningless if you don't get out there and run drills regularly.

Friend of mine is one of those fake military types who is saying only thing that’s preventing him from being a militia fighting Russians is the money.
Only thing that is preventing me from going is not having reliable close air support and dying as a result.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria we have invaded in the last 20 years. but now you want to stand on principle.

The Enrollment Act of 1863 provided that a draftee could pay a “substitute” enrollee the sum of $300 (about $7,241.00 in today's USD) in order to enlist in his place.
So $7,241.00
So $7,241.00

There’s a thread here with posters who volunteer for Ukraine. We’ve lost a lot of them. Moment of silence.

* you aint getting a decent suppressor for $400.
certainly not combat ready!
and factor waiting list following application for about 1 year with ATF, if procuring it legally.
maybe a $400 faux empty can for an airsoft?

Any US citizen that would even consider going to Ukraine to fight Russia is a Grade A dumbass who will almost assuredly end up dead

Take those amounts and times them by 10.
You think a AK47 in Russia/Ukraine is going for $9k?

You can get them cheaper on the blackmarket in Russia. I am guessing a hundred to a couple hundred bucks. Other European countries will be more and definitely vary in price.
