I don't get the hate for the sing along toys. I always catch myself singing along

scooping up, cleaning the site. everything is quite alright!

My kid played more with the boxes at that age.

When she was about 2 she'd open one gift, play with it for an hour before opening another one. Took her all day to open gifts.

I told my wife to package up some bubble wrap.

He LOVES bubble wrap

He's just now strong enough to pop them and it makes him giggle every time.

My kid used to be big fan of tissue paper. Put that at the bottom of the rock n play and he'd kick for like an hour and be super entertained. He also likes flip flops and his spoon a lot. They really don't need all kinds of crazy toys.

Exactly.

No idea why we spent a dime on him

You have another year or 2 before Christmas is really fun for them. I miss that age. My kid is almost a teenager

Out of everything I look forward to with my new child, I think him being excited for Santa in the weeks leading up to Christmas (and the Eve of) and seeing the presents under the tree on Christmas morning, might be my number one.

I can't wait to feel that joy.

If you separate the crap into a donation pile in front of them as presents are being opened they might listen next year

I'll be at work and all of a sudden I start singing about my cat named Applebee who ran away from me

My daughter was absolutely terrified of the thought of some fat guy coming in her house while she was sleeping

But my baby boy can barely use his neck at this point and has no clue what Christmas is or what presents are. He's entertained by soft things in his hand and loud noises.

It wasn't that you aren't willing to spend money on him, more so that I just loved watching my daughter experience all those annoying things around that age.

But I can definitely appreciate your view point on watching them enjoy the simpler things too.

That’s about right. Kids assign less value to gifts when they get a hundred of them.

Odds are he'll choose to play with bubble wrap or tissue paper instead. That's my only point.

My son is 12 weeks old. I set a $40 spending limit on him.

Should've been $0, but the wife had to have shite under the tree.

He's entertained by dish rags in his hands. Can't believe she bought him little toys that make annoying music when he hits them. Its like punishing us.

Jesus you are miserable frick. they don't stay little long. enjoy it.

If you have a brain and want sex, get a gift for baby and a gift for mama from baby.
