Just someone to feed the pets and keep an eye on things.

I just hook my truck up to the ball hitch and take my house with me, no need for a sitter

We have a lady that comes to feed our dog, let him out and water the plants and whatever for $10-15 per day. Granted she lives about a mile from us.

Zero. That's why you hopefully have neighbors you like...and you watch their house also.

I don't pay anyone to watch my house. I think our pet sitter charges us $40 or $50 per day for two dogs in her home.

Having a good house/pet sitter is important. Our dog of 14 years passed away while we were on vacation out west and the sitter, a family friend, had to bring her to the Vet to be cremated. Forever thankful somebody was there for her at the end.

We usually go away once a year for 7-10 days and just offer someone $200 to house/dog sit. The main reason is to watch our dog who has health issues and doesn’t do well in a kennel or a place like camp bow-wow. Being at our house is just bonus. Maybe we are cheap but the people we pay are young and live at home so getting out of their parents house for a while is payment enough.

The butler and the maids are already on salary so they just rotate shifts.

I pay a vet tech that I know 20.00 a day to get mail, water plants, feed and water dogs. I have a dog door so she comes over once a day.

Our sitter charges $25 a day and that includes her staying at our house and taking care of our boxer. Finding someone you can trust is the difficult part or at least it was for us initially.

I house sit for family. I do not ask for anything up front but the expectation is to be well compensated whether that be good, alcohol, cash, or gifts. And I usually get it.

I think I got $40 to take a dog on 5 walks last weekend. Maybe 2-3 hours of work.
