$0
Got it paid off 2 years ago. 15 years of $157 a month.
Could have just paid it off a few years in advance, but luckily rates were crazy low when I graduated. Locked it in at just over 2% or something, so I just paid the minimum.
Worth every penny.
Almost dropped out after my sophomore year. Did a manual labor job that summer and smartly realized there was no way I could do that crap for 30 years. Those jobs are hard.
My arse belongs behind a desk.

Congratulations. Some of us wanted to be doctors and lawyers, not plant workers.

graduated from PT school with 92k in 12/06. Spent a year keeping my head above water with an interest rate of 10.5% (private loan)...monthly minimum payment was astronomical. Once my wife and I got married a year later we began traveling and had them paid off by July of 2010.
In July of 2009 we paid off 18k in one month because we were just throwing everything we were making doing travel work in california at them. Salary, living stipend, savings, etc.
The dopamine release I would get watching that number plummet each month was like a drug. You can do it.

I went to LSU when you could save up for college by working all summer. I racked up a whopping $5k in sl debt and paid it off 5 years later.
$47k is a heavy burden if college didn't pay off for you yet, but you can't shift the blame to the government.

Jesus Christ thats pathetic.
I live at a much lower quality life than I would if I didn’t have to pay back student loans. But I realize I’d be even lower if I didn’t go to school in the first place. And I want to Honor my agreements

$0.00, paid off 138k in 3 years. Best feeling was making the last payment and seeing the congratulations on being done with paying. Just hearing anyone talk about forgiving student loans without making them pay, pisses me off. I struggled and sacrificed to pay mine and refuse to give anyone a shortcut. Also, I've heard extreme stories of kids in our generation doing everything they can to get rid of their debt as well. For all those not bitching and just handling their business in paying them, I refuse to believe in forgiving student loans without at least paying some of them back.
