I do a lot. There are a few things that I hate doing, like laundry and dusting, so my wife does those. There are a few things that my wife hates doing, like loading/unloading the dishwasher and sweeping, so I do those.

I do 95% of the yardwork. Every now and then the wife will help with something outside, but not this time of year Has to be in the fall or spring.

I don't care though. I like keeping busy.

Got home from a week at the Beach Saturday. Unpacked us and then immediately left for the AT&T store to get a new phone (jumped into the lazy river with the trusty iPhone 6 on Wednesday afternoon last week and went phoneless after).

Got dinner on the way home.

Woke up Sunday Morning and mowed the front yard grass. Showered. Went grocery shopping with the wife. Unloaded groceries.

Washed dishes, put out trash, cleaned kitchen, unpacked my sh!t and started laundry, put up/folded clothes, repatriated toiletries and stuff from the bathroom back in there from my dop kit we brought to the Beach. Then I put together some burgers and hit the grill.

The wife helped out here and there.

I don't do it because I'm obligated. I don't do it because I'm OCD. I do it because that's what I would do regardless of single, dating or married.

Translation: I think this is an example of why I can be described as "not fricking lazy." From the sounds of your post and the vagueness of it, it sounds like you're worried you can be labeled that.

If you're worried, you are. Stop being lazy. Get up and do some sh!t and stop making her ask you to.

I am pretty clean person. I cut the grass, big on no dishes in the sink so have everyone in the practice of rinsing the dishes and throwing them in the washer. Whoever throws the last thing in when it is full runs it. Whoever notices first usually then puts dishes away. I toss clothes in the wash all the time. She hates how I fold though so she folds the cloths usually. We have wood floors I would say it's pretty even on who cleans those. Usually one sweeps while the other sprays and wipes the wood cleaner on. Usually it just comes down to who notices something needs to be done. Nobody is assigned really any one thing (except maybe the folding laundry) and everyone pitches in. I will say by doing it as you go saves time from dedicating one day to cleaning.

i'll fold my own clothes and wash dishes sometimes... other than that... the first man who sweeps the floor... will be handed the mop as a thank you. Keep the line drawn. Throw down when needed. Clean a toilet, she'll show you how to clean the shower.

I do the dishes and bring the garbage out.

She can't load a dishwasher to save her fricking life. Somehow she can manage to fill it completely with 2 plates, 3 forks, and a wine glass

Its a damn anomaly.

ETA:

I do yard work that we don't pay for like cleaning up the beds and stuff. Pay someone to mow and we have a Roomba so vacuuming isn't a thing we need to do really. She does the laundry, folds, and puts the clean dishes up. I hate folding clothes with a passion.

I do everything outside, she does most things inside, I am not allowed to do laundry, except to unload the dryer. I do the dishes most nights, dust, and vacuum occasionally. I mainly take care of the kids while she cleans. We try to split the kids stuff pretty even, diapers, midnight feeding, etc.

A fair amount, we normally split everything, but she is 7 months pregnant. So I am trying to ease her burden atm. I'm just not good at seeing things the way she does.

Military time kinda made me a neat freak...I do all the laundry because I like the way I do them(get them right out of the dryer and put the ones on a hanger that need it...that way I don't have to iron). Not opposed to vacuuming(youngest daughters chore for now) or scrubbing toilets. Handle all the outside yard work and garbage. Wife handles tubs, dusting & dishes(kids while they're home).

Fixing to be empty nesters in about a month, so the house should stay a little tidier.

That's the worst.

You're going to stop getting laid eventually if it hasn't already happened so what is she good for? I hope she works.

MY wife does all cooking. She washes our 5 year old daughters hair and I dry it high is a PITA due to its length. I bathe our daughter.
I wash towels and clothing and my wife folds it.
We have a cleaning lady for everything else.
I do all outside stuff and house maintenance.

The dishwasher is loaded by my wife and I empty it.

As long as I never have cook, wash hair, fold laundry, etc , I'll be good.

I hang shite and fix shite around the house. If I do the dishes my wife comes and re-does them because I have done them wrong. She cooks, I grill. Still get the sex and BJ's so I guess I am doing it right

I'll help fold some laundry with her if she's doing it while I'm home. I also do things like changing the duct filters, change light bulbs, open pickle jars and such. If something breaks, I fix it or get someone who can. That's about it.

We have an even split.

I cook, she does dishes/kitchen
I sweep floors and do laundry, she scrubs bathrooms

It works out very nicely.

I open it sometimes and call her into the kitchen and just stare at her.

It's like holding a puppy's head over where it messed in the house.

This is very close to our routine.

You are joking right?

My wife loves to make me go to the store with her for that reason. I go to the store by myself and she will ask, you want me to come? I say no that's ok, the store sucks, I hate going to the store so I won't make you go to the store with me.
