re: How much do you fellas really pitch in when it comes to housework?

My husband takes out the trash to the alley and takes out the recycling and does his own laundry. I do most of the cleaning inside but I know he helps straighten up as well and cleans his bathroom and I clean mine.


We have a landscaper so he has no yardwork to worry about. We just have to make sure the dog poop is picked up for the landscapers.

I do the outside work, my wife does the cleaning inside, we both help with daily things like dishes and laundry.

My husband, when he's in town, does nothing

I frequently have to remind him that if he wants to treat me like a housewife he needs to make enough $ for me to be a housewife

He prefers to do his own laundry


It's not like I haven't offered. And I vacuum and mop his bathroom...he's just on his own for the rest of it.


I also work 2 jobs and he works 1. And I do all of the grocery shopping for us. And am the one to handle all the vet appts/grooming appts for our dogs.

While you do what?

Hate it.

I clean up after myself, put my dishes in the dishwasher, put my clothes away, and take out the trash. Everything else is not my job.

What do you mean?

You said he needs to make more money for you to be a housewife. So what are you doing during the day while he's working and traveling?
