My parents and my roommates parents went in on a condo, so $0.
After that I spent 1 year in an apt at $670 a month

My first apt in BR in 1997 was the $99 move in special and $199/mo apt on Ned Ave off GSRI. That area was definitely well into "transition" by then.

Our four-plex was down a dirt road (Vicaro Drive) across from the fire station. My dad had been at LSU in the 30s and said those apartments looked old back then.

too many people crammed in a 2BR brightside duplex: $55 with utilities (including landline--no one had cell phones then).
those brick places on acadian near gov't--can't remember exactly but def no more than $200/mo with a roommate in 2BR. util. incl.
shared 3BR house off burbank with one roommate never there--$250 util incl.
Studio apt uptown no--$425 + util
1BR apartment uptown NO--$350 + util.
some expensive arse place for first year in Atl, then bought. haven't rented in 15 years. i want to sell everything and rent again, but not in atlanta.

My sophomore year at LSU in 2007, me and 2 buddies lived in this place off Brightside View Drive that cost $850/month... total. It was an absolute dumpster. Enjoyed it though.
