then you're in a great position to make the right decision from the start and go with the barclay arrival instead of the chase sapphire.

For those that say cc's are dumb.
Those people are dumb. I put almost every purchase on a credit card. Scheduled payoff each month and I can keep track of every dollar spent. The free hotel rooms are nice.

How much do you pay in interest on that, per month?
Me: $0

I've realized that, but was always taught to not spend it if you don't have it, which is why I never had a credit card. Fast forward to February and I signed up for Chase Sapphire to get rewards points. Spending habits haven't changed (which is not a good thing because I already spend too much), but it makes sense to get rewards for all the money I blow through. So far I have been paying the balance in full every month. Once I close on a house, and end up buying appliances
Excellent post.
Look for the 90 Days same as cash deals when you get your appliances.

Try to always do this. If you see yourself falling into a pattern of not doing it, opt for plastic surgery.
(I have an idea you'll be fine.)

On that note. What's a good cc to have for hotel rooms or cash back? Sam Jackson been selling that Capital One Card "1.5% cashback on EVERYTHING card" like a boss during Super Regional Games on Watch ESPN.
Is that a good one for someone that doesn't travel much?

Go over to the Money Board.
They've got some sharp guys over there that know that stuff really well.

I have a Marriott card through Chase. We go stay at the Renaisance every couple months just so I can jizz on the curtains and wipe my arse with the towels.

I have to give a lot of the credit to money board here for teaching me the proper use of credit cards and their rewards. In the last 3 or so years I have probably received anywhere between 6-7k in rewards (much of which came from building a home). I probably would have written checks for everything if I didn't understand the reward system.

I do the same, but I do it for airline purchances. I just recently used some point to take a family of four to NYC for less than $45 total for all four of us. You can't use points to towards taxes and fees.
