i could get way more enjoyment with $1500 rather than lighting it on fire and exploding it

Maybe $25. Don't shoot them much around here for the 4th.

New Years Eve I will spend $100. That sure doesn't get you a whole lot these days, but my son loves to shoot them.

It's hard to do in the city, so I haven't done for awhile. As a kid though, getting together to put on a show, rating each thing we bought, having some that didn't even work, it was tons of fun. Way more fun that watching a much better show the city puts on.

By high school some of my dumbass friends would shoot roman candles at each other. We also shot a car thing on the ground one time into one of the biggest things to set it off. It was pretty wild.

Small town fun

We get together on a lame with a bunch of friends

Each of us spends 100 and we throw them all together. So ends up being about 3k worth of fireworks going off. At least one person will get hurt of course.

I'm amazed with all of the stupid crap I did as a kid with fireworks that I only got hurt once. Bottle rocket and roman candle wars, sparkler bombs, shooting big bottle rockets out of my hand, etc.

Now that I'm older I of course enjoy letting my son shoot some off. The most fun now we have as adults is a New Years Day tradition of blowing shite up with leftover mortar rounds from a big event my friends family puts on.
We blow the fck out of trashcans, old remote control cars, buckets, etc.

I was always too much of a bitch for this. I thought for sure the thing would take out an eye. We had one guy get burnt pretty bad because, "It's too hot for a hoodie"

Is your family an avid remote control car family or something?

Nah, it was only twice. Just an old truck and car that the kids had grown tired of. Not one of the expensive real kind.

Forgot to add, someone came over with a quarter stick of dynamite one year. I thought for sure the cops were coming when we set that damn thing off.

Used to light a quarter stick as a kid in Gentilly Terrace. It got the elderly neighbors out on their porch for sure.

$0.

I have neighbors who spend insane amounts on fireworks for the Fourth and New Years every year. They put on quite a show. Saves me $$$.
