How much are you spending on fireworks this year?

Haven't bought them yet but plan on spending about 1500

I haven't bought fireworks since I was probably in high school, but if I am somewhere and some has a lot of them I will light a few.
I know there are people who love the frick out of fireworks and will spend a few hundos on them.. Personally I think that's a lot but to each his own.. But $1500.. I'd rather take that and go put it on red. At least I would have a 47.4% chance of doubling it.

If I cared about fireworks, which I don't, I could easily drive to a vastly better show than I could dream of putting on. Unless you are just giving your kids something to do, I don't understand the appeal of "large" home displays.
