How many times do you stop on a 5 hour drive?

I stop at least twice.

I usually stop once to whiz but occasionally don’t. 5 hours is not a bad drive endurance wise.

I average a stop every two hours just because it will wear me out on especially long drives. If it’s under 3 hours I’d rather not stop but that’s around my limit.

A 5 hour drive usually necessitates one pee stop. Unless you have young kids, two stops is ridiculous.

Just me, between zero and two times depending on the timeline.
Me and the whole family? 5 times. 5 hour drive would have been 3 if it was just me.
Eta: I drive about 45k miles a year so a 5 hour drive is not an event.

Once to stretch the legs, pee, and probably top off the tank since I’m stopping anyways

We drive to CO each summer. I do 8 hour days. I've done up to 16, but I try to keep it to 8 for the kids. When I stop is determined more by them than by me, but I try to find good stops that aren't just a gas station or fast food. I look up community parks and weird roadside stops. Check LINK / for a good list. You can search by state.

Down the road baw. Pro tip, use a gatorade bottle, water bottles make it difficult.
