I don’t know if I count wisdom teeth personally as I just had regular IV sedation.

So besides that...I’ve had two surgeries in the past year. Possibly will need more in the next few months.

Maybe he had a really bad perirectal abcsess with lots of thick yellow purulent drainage and he needed surgery to further drain the abscess and pack it?

Vanilla pudding anyone?

Fun fact:

My butthole surgery was performed by Dave Treen, Jr., son of the former governor.

(And relax, man. It was a routine procedure. Did you know they put you on the operating table on your knees?)

Me too terd.

Don’t ever go out to eat with nurses if you are easily grossed out.

Or vanilla chocolate swirl and we can discuss purulent drainage mixed with stool.

Before you reach a geriatric age, I would think anywhere from 0-4 is normal.

Tonsillectomy, appendectomy, tubes in the ears, etc are all normal, along with anything related to injuries such as scopes, pins, etc.

Butthole surgery though? Yeah that’s in a different league. Bad hemorrhoids or was the guy too rough on you?

No, we have no qualms about talking about gross stuff while eating. Doesn’t bother us at all.

I can discuss diarrhea in a patient while eating chocolate pudding and think nothing of it.

I'm 50 and have had only two (and one of those was 5 weeks ago).

I had shoulder surgery eight years ago and had my bicep re-attached to my forearm back in July.

Haven’t had one yet but only 30 years old. Dad is in his 60s and has never had surgery

Having a kid does the same thing. Poop talk is totally normal now.

Mid-30s and so far I've had tonsils & adenoids removed and my gallbladder removed. Not counting wisdom teeth.

I do consider the tonsils/adenoids as real surgery, however, because it was way back in the day and I actually spent a night in the hospital afterwards. It wasn't in and out at a surgery center like it would be today.

2ish?

I had my gallbladder removed. Does that count as a surgery?

You should preface with age as well.

I'm 56 and, since you're not counting wisdom teeth, have had 1, gall bladder, as an adult. As a youth (2nd grade) I had hernia surgery. That's about it for me.
