I hit pushups at the end of my chest workouts every day. I normally do 70 take a break and do the other 30.

If I had to just go max effort without stopping, probably 80-85 but that’s mostly because I’m a bad mother fricker

If you got down right now, how many could you do without pausing for more than 5 seconds?

I could probably get 40. I did 30 Saturday morning without any pause.

I could train to about 50 with about 6 weeks notice - now that would be 50 without even a second or so pause.

When I was Damien Lewis' age, I could do about 80, as well.

Uh, that's not that much of a feat.

I had soldiers left and right that could match or exceed that in under two minutes.

Yeah, I was pretty middle of the road PT-wise and could do 70 or so. We'd usually have several guys break 100. Hell, I think 42 was the bare minimum for a 20yo at that time.

I'd be lucky to hit 40 now.

Usually start my day off with a few hundred of these.

And when I'm tired of watching gifs, I make some coffee and go to work.

Could probably do 30-40 pushups.

Right now at 58, I can do 60 regular push-ups without stopping. Using the perfect push-up handles, 50 without a break. I usually do 100-130 every other day.

My coach told a teammate who was in trouble to do 1,000 push-ups and that he better not stop. He did as many as he could and got whipped with a stopwatch string every time he stopped. Next day he couldn’t even lift his arms.

That guy posts here.

Did 76 on my test back in January
