How many people in the general population are secret informants for fbi? (Overstock CEO)

The CEO of overstock resigned today after news came out that he was sent to conduct surveillance on a woman the fbi was interested in

It’s kind of creepy to think about. I’m currently in a busy lunch location.....how many people are wearing a wire right now?
I thought this was kooky madooky tinfoil shite, but there have been multiple stories like this the last 2 years.
I’m reminded of Simon and Garfunkel’s lyrics from America
